A Future and A Hope

A Future and A Hope serves mothers, babies, families, and the Believing Community in Israel, through compassion, practical help, and the love of Messiah

Standing Firm in Times of War

A Future and A Hope never paused in its mission, despite the long months of the Gaza War and the brief conflict with Iran. Our team continued meeting with women in crisis pregnancies and supporting families barely managing to survive while husbands and fathers served in the IDF reserves.

Your partnership made this steadfastness possible.

Who You Help

Our ministry serves families and single mothers from every cultural and religious background throughout Israel. A growing number of those we help are new immigrants. Many arrive with no belongings, no network, and no idea where to turn.

Many of the women who reach us are pregnant and facing overwhelming obstacles: a new language, an unfamiliar culture, and financial instability. All too often, the recommendation they hear is “terminate the pregnancy.”

Thanks to you, we are able to offer another way: practical support, emotional care, and spiritual hope. When possible, we involve husbands or close family. But for many, we are the only support they have.

Below are three stories made possible by your generosity.

Your Impact in Real Lives

As you read these stories, and throughout this newsletter, please note that all names have been changed to protect each woman’s privacy.

Liat’s Story: From Outcast to Loved

Liat has been carrying deep wounds including trauma, past suicide attempts, and addiction. When she became pregnant, the system’s first recommendation was abortion. But after meeting with us—and hearing hope in our message—she chose life.

With no family support, Liat has received:

·       ongoing emotional support and spiritual care

·       help navigating the welfare, legal, and child services systems

·       essential baby equipment through our First Year of Life program

·       the aid of a doula through late pregnancy and birth

During her journey with us, she has also encountered the Gospel and embraced faith in Messiah Yeshua. Though she still battles old habits, Liat is growing in hope, supported by prayer, encouragement, and love.

Your support allowed us to walk with her every step of the way.

Hila’s Story: New Immigrants, New Life, New Hope

Hila and her husband arrived from Ethiopia during the Gaza War with nothing: no possessions, no support, and no community to receive them. Shortly after arriving, Hila became pregnant, leaving them anxious and overwhelmed.

Your generosity enabled us to provide them with:

·       New essential equipment for their newborn

·       Practical support during their adjustment to life in Israel

·       Connection with a welcoming Amharic-speaking congregation

In time, both came to faith in Messiah Yeshua. They found not only physical help, but a spiritual family.

Their baby was born in September—the first in their family to be born in Israel.

Joined together like a three‑fold cord in Messiah Yeshua, this young family is stepping into an unknown future, but secure in His care and filled with hope.

Aliza’s Story: A Young Mother With a Special-Needs Child

Only 18 years old, Aliza is raising an infant with severe esophageal reflux. Baby Anna requires expensive medical nutrition far beyond the cost of regular infant food.

Your compassionate giving is providing Aliza with:

·       monthly gift vouchers

·       food baskets

·       help with overdue utility bills

·       assistance repairing her dilapidated apartment

Every day, many of the single mothers we serve face similar struggles to survive. Across Israel, the number of families slipping below the poverty line increases month by month.

You are giving families like Aliza’s a critical lifeline.

Our Motivation

Women frequently ask why we help without requiring payment or that they meet special conditions. Your support enables us to answer:

“Because God loves you, and you’re not alone.”

This open door allows us to share God’s grace, provide practical support, and guide many women and families toward healing and faith in Messiah Yeshua. The road is often long and difficult—but the hope they receive gives them strength for the journey.

Thank you for being part of every life saved, every home strengthened, and every heart restored.

A Typical Note of Thanks From a Mother You Helped

Dear Orit,

Thank you so much for the thoughtful gift for our new baby. We feel truly blessed and love everything you chose. Each item will help us prepare for this new chapter. Your prayers and support mean so much as we welcome our little one.

May God richly bless the work of your hands.

Training and Education

ree

In recent months, we have been privileged to conduct several training sessions for a number of congregations across Israel. The training focuses on leadership, including pastors, elders, deacons, youth coordinators, and Shabbat school teachers. The basic session consists of definitions of sexual abuse and sexual harassment, common myths, the spiritual and physical consequences of abuse,

characteristics of predators, and how the congregation can and should protect itself and respond to allegations of abuse, and concludes with real-case simulations. After a congregation completes the basic training, there are annual follow-up sessions and additional workshops on topics such as peer-to-peer abuse, spiritual ramifications, and more.

We also offered training sessions for parents. These sessions covered understanding normative and abnormal sexual behaviors at each age stage, how parents can talk with their children about various topics, and how to teach them to protect themselves from abuse and harassment.

ree

The feedback has been very positive and encouraging, with many questions from participants throughout the sessions and requests for further opportunities to learn, including additional trainings for other groups in their congregations.

We are currently working on obtaining state certification to issue official training certificates so that our programs receive formal recognition. We have ongoing requests from parents for copies of the books that we distribute freely, and they express interest in receiving clear, practical tools to help them speak with their children about sexual education and protection.

Our objective is to provide care for those who, in the language of Ezekiel 34, are sick, wounded, scattered, and lost, and to equip congregations with the tools necessary to minister to them. In particular, we focus on individuals who have been abused, harmed, or disillusioned as a result of victimization by sexual predators.

New Initiative: Podcast Outreach

ree

Recently, another ministry invited us to participate in a podcast aimed at helping parents understand and prevent child sexual abuse. After prayerful consideration, we recorded ten episodes for a new series titled “Parenting With Grace.”

The episodes cover:

·       warning signs parents must know

·       recognizing predatory behavior

·       developing abuse prevention strategies

·       supporting abused children

·       responding properly when abuse occurs

·       pathways to healing for victims and offenders

The podcast will launch in early 2026 and is expected to reach thousands of Israeli families we would never have met otherwise.

Your support is helping make this new educational outreach possible.

Thank You for Your Partnership

Every act of generosity—through donations, prayer, and encouragement—allows us to walk with one more mother, save one more life, strengthen one more family, and share the love of God in tangible ways.

In recent years, the demand for our materials and trainings has grown significantly. More congregations are asking for seminars, more parents are requesting tools to protect their children, and more women in crisis pregnancies are turning to us for help. At the same time, publication and ministry costs have risen sharply, and these expenses are beginning to affect our ability to serve as many families as we are called to reach.

Would you prayerfully consider a Thanksgiving offering or a special year-end gift? Your support will help us continue caring for women in crisis pregnancies through our First Year of Life program, while also providing biblical, practical resources—at no cost—to the believing community in Israel.

Together, we are showing God’s love in action: one mother, one baby, one family at a time.

With thanks and blessings always,

Marvin (for us all),
