Counseling
Many of the women seeking abortion counseling are struggling with a variety of problems, ranging from marriage and family problems, to handling their new role in society. Some are struggling to leave behind a self-destructive past. Hence, our counseling services are critical component of the help we offer. Always, we seek to point these precious ladies to the One who brings Hope and New Life.
First Year of Life
The first year can be the hardest for new mothers facing family pressures, and social and economic challenges. Money is often a tipping point for many. Abortion becomes a consideration because, "I can't afford to have a baby." Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to provide mothers seeking our counsel and help with all the basic necessities for the first year of life, ranging from diapers and formula, to toys, a crib, and pacifiers.
Educating the Public
We believe that knowledge is empowering. Hence, we are thankful for the opportunities provided for our team members to share within the community, in public schools and universities about Godly principles for sexual behavior and birth control. Many of our attendees, after learning what is really involved in an abortion, have chosen life, and become active in telling others why abortion is simply not an option.
Counseling
Our counselling services, by necessity, are broad. Most of the women who come to us are not “just” pregnant and abortion minded. They bring with them a variety of problems. Many of them have a background in prostitution, drugs, or may even be living in an abusive situation that they cannot get out of.
Once the woman comes for counseling and expresses a need for help, we stick by her side throughout the entire course of her pregnancy and beyond–even if she should ultimately choose to have an abortion. Hence, our services include:
-
Basic pregnancy counseling
-
Post-abortion counseling
-
Personal life coaching
-
Abuse counseling
-
Trauma and post-trauma counseling
-
Collaboration with other social agencies to help those wanting to get out of prostitution or additions
In addition, we provide home visits, and offer family counseling with the father of the child, as well as with other family members, if desired.
We have two comfortable counseling rooms in our office in Haifa. Our staff regularly take continuing education courses and advanced training, so that they can continue to be well-equipped and updated to help meet the needs of these women.

First Year of Life
The first year can be the hardest for new mothers facing family pressures, and social and economic challenges. Finances is often a critical, determining issue for many. Abortion becomes a consideration because “I can’t afford to have a baby.” Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to provide to the women who make
decisions for life for their pre-born child all the basic essentials for the first year of child’s life.
The First Year of Life Program is designed to relieve the mother of the financial burden associated with the needs of a newborn, so that she devote more thoughts and energy to bonding with the child. We begin by making sure the baby’s room is ready and well-stocked when the new mother comes home from the hospital with her newborn. We also provide a monthly cash supplement for the first 12 months of the baby’s life. Most of the women we work with are in difficult financial situations. In many cases, the help we provide through the First Year of Life Program is a game changer. The support we provide extends beyond the financial and can include critical repairs in her apartment, cleaning, etc. Volunteers give of their time to get everything ready for the new family and to help as they provide for other necessary services.
All of this is done with a personal touch. Young women who thought no one cared and wanted to give up on life, find new hope. They know that we are there for them. The material support we provide is an investment in their lives and helps them to gain a new level of self-respect as they learn to love and care for their new baby.
The First Year of Life Program costs approximately US$2,000 a year per mother and baby and even more, depending upon the individual circumstances of the mother and child. The amount is double if the mother has twins.

Educating the Public
Knowledge empowers. Yet today’s generation, and the public at large, are poorly educated regarding their options when it comes to birth, birth control, abortion, and choosing whether or not to pursue a pregnancy to term. Quite often, hearing an unborn child’s heartbeat or understanding the stages of development in the womb makes all the difference–literally–between life and death. Tragically, the development of a child in the womb and the sanctity of life are rarely taught in public schools.
In Israel, children receive sex education in public schools starting in the sixth grade. That education primarily focuses on their own sexual development and fulfilling (or not) their own sexual desires. Israeli children are encouraged to experiment to find out their own sexual preferences. When they reach junior high, the schools introduce the children to alternative lifestyles via outside lecturers. As a conservative organization, A Future and a Hope has had the privilege of being asked by public schools to present our unique information starting in the fifth grade and continuing through to university. We have had the privilege of freely and legally counseling young people regarding the choice for life and the benefits of abstinence before marriage, and how fulfilling a loving marriage of one man and one woman can be.
Our counselors provide lectures and workshops on all aspects of sex education in congregation and at conferences. Our seminars are in high demand by Messianic congregations throughout Israel. Our counselorsalso train other educational professionals with our materials for dissemination to their students. They have been invited to speak at city-sponsored events and have been interviewed for Israeli and international radio programs.
Your gift enables us to print brochures, books, and other materials, all of which are made available and distributed without charge to attendees of our lectures/workshops.
